Carine Martin
Introvert
A concept based on the lingering perceptions that are applied to my own as an identity. I’ve decided it be sufficient to use art as a means to appropriate people’s perspective of who I am as an individual. I find it absolutely livid what people can make out of by observing a person each day. Audiences are quick to judge a character, and give it their two cents by a single impression that is given, whether it is intended for them or not. It’s incredibly strenuous to go about my day, constantly worrying about how I am perceived, positive or negative. Upon observation, one could assume my nature be revolved around the look of my face. It’s easily to develop insecurities within yourself just by the way that people critique your exterior. This series is based upon the multiple sides and/or temperaments that make up of who I am. There consist of aspects representing contentment, desolation, loneliness, or perhaps even ludicrously. I want to personify these aspects of my life, and depict how they are a part of me.
